Singer Island Ocean Mall

On Wednesday April 13, 2006 the Riviera Beach Community Redevelopment Agency voted and approved a plan to develop the Ocean Mall on Singer Island. A joint venture development company consisting of Catalfumo Construction, Marriott Vacation Club International, Norton Herrick and Andrew Brock will build a 28 story hotel with 60,000 square feet of shops and restaurants. The City of Riviera Beach, who owns the land, will wait for an official site plan before granting the final decision. Residents of Singer Island voiced some opposition to the project with regards to the height of the tower but the CRA voted 4-1 to approve. “This is an exciting time” said Catalfumo, “We are ready to start pouring concrete.”
